Tax tables get turned around on alimony payments under new reforms

The recent, sweeping changes to the federal tax code have offered a wealth of column topics, and this week's installment is what some are calling the new "divorce penalty." Currently, and through 2018, if a couple splits the partner who pays alimony can deduct that from their federal taxable income.
